A Letter To My Honey


Christopher,

When I first started talking to you, I really wasn't interested in being with you. I had just gotten out of a relationship and didn't wanna try again too soon. I just wanted to test the waters. I was afraid to give my heart to someone. I was afraid of getting hurt. But you stuck out to me. You treated me with so much respect and kindness. I wasn't used to that kinda treatment from a guy. Within a couple of days, I fell in love with you. It seemed like everything you said was perfect. I'm so happy that you came into my life. What really made me know you were the one was that when I was sad on the day of my grandpa's funeral, you prayed with me. No guy has ever prayed with me. That was so sweet. I love you with all my heart and soul. You make my heart sing a perfect harmony. Im so lucky to have you as my boyfriend. You accept me for who I am. You love me no matter what. And that's why I love you. I wanna be with you forever. I wanna be your wife and I wanna have your kids. I'll love you through all your trials and tribulations. I wanna grow old with you. DJ AM FOUND DEAD!!!!

NEW YORK, New York -- Adam Goldstein, also known as DJ AM, has been found dead in New York City at the age of 36, Access Hollywood has confirmed.

Goldstein's body was found on the seventh floor of an apartment building on Lafayette Street on Friday, police sources confirmed to Access.

Police sources also told Access Hollywood that Goldstein is believed to have died of a drug overdose.

Additionally, police sources told Access' New York affiliate WNBC that drug paraphernalia was found at the scene, including a crack pipe.

Friends reportedly went to check on the celebrity DJ after not hearing from him for several days, but contacted authorities when they could not get a response after knocking on his door on Friday, law enforcement officials told WNBC.

According to a statement the New York Police Department released to Access, at around 5:24 PM local time, authorities responded to a call at 210 Lafayette Street, following a 911 call of a "possible unconscious male."

After arriving at the residence, the NYPD confirmed that authorities discovered a 36-year-old white male "unconscious and unresponsive." Paramedics also arrived on the scene and declared the male dead on arrival, the NYPD confirmed to Access. Foul play is not suspected at this time and a medical examiner will determine the cause of death.

The investigation is ongoing, the NYPD added.

Additionally, sources told Access Hollywood police were forced to break down the door to enter the premises. Goldstein was discovered wearing sweatpants and no shirt, according to WNBC.

A rep for DJ AM released a statement to Access on Friday evening, asking for privacy for Goldstein's family.

"Adam 'DJ AM' Goldstein was found deceased this afternoon in his New York City apartment. The circumstances surrounding his death are unclear. Out of respect for his family and loved ones, please respect their privacy at this time," the statement read.

On Thursday, the celebrity DJ wrote on his Twitter page, "New york, new york. Big city of dreams, but everything in new york aint always what it seems."

Shanna Moakler, the ex-wife of Travis Barker, DJ AM's musical collaborator whom he survived a plane crash with in Columbia, South Carolina, in September 2008, posted a message of condolence on her Twitter page not long after the news broke.

"My deepest condolences for DJ AM, you were a great artist and will be severely missed. My thoughts and Prayers to his family and friends," she wrote.

Lindsay Lohan, a friend of DJ AM's, also expressed her sorrow on Friday evening.

"can't believe this.. i'm in shock. why? why? r.i.p. adam," she wrote.

Less than a week ago, the celebrity DJ threw out the first pitch at the New York Mets game in the city.

As previously reported on AccessHollywood.com, just over a year ago, Goldstein survived a plane crash, alongside Barker. The two were airlifted to a burn center.

"When the plane was on the runway I took my shoes off and fell asleep. The next thing I remember is us crashing into something," he told People, just months after the incident. "I woke up to Travis screaming and the plane engulfed in flames. I remember thinking it was like 'Miami Vice,' where a car is on fire and you run before the gas tank explodes - we gotta get out of here!"

"Travis jerked upon the door and slid on his butt down a wing that was on fire. I tried to cover my face as I jumped through a fireball. As soon as I hit the ground, I remembered 'Stop, drop and roll,' so I started rolling," he continued.

After putting out his own flames, he helped Travis, burning himself further in the process.

"My eyebrows and layers of skin were burned off my face," he said. "My forehead was gouged and my arm had skin hanging off. I was in shock and didn't feel anything."

Goldstein and Barker suffered second and third degree burns, but had no other injuries from the crash, Dr. Fred Mullins, medical director of the Joseph M. still Burn Center, told the Associated Press in September 2008.

While he got back to work just a month after the crash, in March 2009, Goldstein filed suit against the plane manufacturers seeking $20 million in damages related to the crash.

A category 5 hurricane is the highest and most dangerous hurricane possible. The storm made the levees that kept the water secure broke and 80% of the city was flooded. Many people climbed to the top of their roof for safety while some went to shelters in time. The devastation to the Gulf Coast by these two hurricanes has been called the greatest disaster in our nation's history.

Update: Jaycee Lee Dugard

I just found this on Fox40! This is a very gruesome and shocking story. Its unbelieveable!




ANTIOCH - FOX40 News has learned exclusive new details in the 1991 kidnapping case of Jaycee Lee Dugard.

Authorities tell FOX40 News that Dugard bore two children for sex offender Phillip Garrido, who kept her in a backyard device -- possibly a shed -- as a sex slave for both Garrido and his wife, Nancy Garrido.

Both Phillip and Nancy Garrido were arrested as suspects in the kidnapping case. Authorities say Nancy Garrido was with Phillip Garrido at the time of the abduction and matches the suspect's description obtained by eyewitnesses in 1991. The Garrido's Antioch home was searched for evidence Thursday morning.

Authorities with the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation's Division of Adult Parolee Operations report a parolee agent helped crack the 18-year-old kidnapping case while following up on a tip that Garrido was seen with two small children on the campus of UC Berkeley. The diligent questioning of the parolee officer led Garrido to reveal the kidnapping of Dugard. Further questioning revealed Dugard and Garrido were the parents of the two children.

The El Dorado County Sheriff's Department said at a press conference Thursday afternoon the two children were kept in "complete isolation" and had not been to school or a doctor.

Neighbors told FOX40's Darsha Phillips that while Garrido was frequently seen at the home, they didn't see any sign that Dugard lived there.

Dugard was abducted in 1991 from a bus stop near her Meyers home. Authorities are conducting DNA tests on Dugard, but say they are certain they have found the missing 29-year-old.

Update: Michael Jackson Coroner Report

TMZ.com just released a report from the L.A. County Coroner on how the King of Pop died...


The L.A. County Coroner has just officially announced the cause of Michael Jackson's death -- Acute Propofol intoxication.

The report says "other conditions contributing to death: Benzodiazepine effect." Benzodiazepines are a group of drugs (see below) used to treat anxiety and insomnia.

The manner of death is ruled: "HOMICIDE."

The Coroner did not release the full autopsy report -- just a press notice. It goes on:

The drugs PROPOFOL and LORAZEPAM (Ativan) were found to be the primary drugs responsible for Mr. Jackson's death.

Other drugs detected were: Midazolam (Versed), Diazepam (Valium), Lidocaine (topical anesthetic) and Ephedrine (used to treat hypotension associated with anesthesia).

The final Coroner's report, including the toxicology report, will remain on security hold, per the LAPD.

Missing Girl Returns After 18 Years


ANTIOCH, California (CNN) -- A woman who was kidnapped at age 11 and then spent 18 years living in her abductor's backyard began the long process of reuniting with her family on Friday.

Jaycee Dugard was kidnapped at 11 and kept hidden for 18 years in a backyard compound, authorities say.
A psychiatrist envisioned a slow and overwhelming adjustment for Jaycee Lee Dugard, who was kidnapped in 1991 as her stepfather watched, helpless, in front of her house in South Lake Tahoe, California,

Dugard lived for the next 18 years in a shed and other outbuildings behind her abductor's house, where she gave birth to two girls that he fathered; the girls are now aged 11 and 15, police said.

Investigators arrested Phillip Garrido, a registered sex offender, on charges of kidnapping and abusing her after police discovered Dugard on Wednesday.

"The last 18 years have been rough, but the last two days have been pretty good," her stepfather, Carl Probyn, told CNN's "American Morning" on Friday. Video Watch Probyn describe getting the news »

Authorities have jailed Garrido, 58, and his wife, 54-year-old Nancy Garrido, on numerous charges. An arraignment for the couple is scheduled to begin at 1 p.m. PT (4 p.m. ET) Friday in Placerville Superior Court in Placerville, California.

El Dorado County sheriff's office online records showed that Phillip and Nancy Garrido are being held on suspicion of offenses including conspiracy to commit a crime and kidnapping with the intent to commit robbery and rape.

During their time living in Garrido's backyard, Dugard and her two children apparently rarely ventured out of their compound, investigators said.

Dugard "was in good health, but living in a backyard for the past 18 years does take its toll," El Dorado County Undersheriff Fred Kollar told reporters. He described her as "relatively cooperative, relatively forthcoming" in discussions with detectives. She was "in relatively good condition," neither obviously abused nor malnourished, he added. "There are no known attempts by her to outreach to anybody."

The children didn't go to school or to the doctor's office. Now they and their mother are being thrust into a strange new world.

Helen Morrison, a forensic psychiatrist, told CNN Dugard's world will now take on an air of science fiction.

"It would be a little like being a time traveler, of being introduced to a world you have no concept of," Morrison said. "You're going to be absolutely overwhelmed." Video Watch psychiatrist explain effects of captivity »

Dugard faces a change of identity -- she apparently was known as "Allissa" while living behind her captor's house -- and "has no idea what's out there," Morrison said. She may actually miss her captors because they apparently have been the center of her world for so long, she said.

"The only reality she has is the life that she's lived," Morrison said. "In her parent's mind," however, "she's still the 11-year-old girl."

Probyn said he felt helpless after witnessing his stepdaughter's abduction in 1991.

"When it first happened, I was thinking, 'If I had my car keys, I would have chased him and done this and this,'" Probyn told CNN on Friday. "But lately, toward the last few years, I just wanted an ending to this."

He expressed anger at Garrido and his wife, who police say was with him when the 11-year-old girl was abducted.

"It's just sick," he said. "It benefitted him but destroyed everybody else. That's pretty sick."

Part of the shock, he said, is that Dugard's "youngest child is the same age as Jaycee when she was taken."

Terry Probyn -- who is now separated from Carl -- spoke with her daughter on Thursday and learned that she had two daughters of her own, he said. Carl Probyn said he expects Dugard and her two children to come back to Southern California since "that's where we all live." He added that it was not immediately clear whether and when that would happen.

Probyn said he had lost hope over the years that his stepdaughter would ever be found. Now, he and Dugard's mother are faced with a potentially difficult reunion with their daughter -- and grandchildren they didn't know existed until this week.

"None of the children had ever gone to school. They had never been to a doctor. They were kept in complete isolation in this compound, if you will, at the rear of the house," Kollar said. "They were born there."

Garrido apparently maintained a blog in which he claimed to control sound with his mind. The blog now has numerous profanity-laced responses from people outraged over his alleged actions.

In a rambling telephone interview from jail, Garrido told CNN affiliate KCRA of Sacramento that he was relieved at being caught.

"I feel much better now," he said. "This is a process that needed to take place."

The investigation went years without apparent progress until Tuesday, when Garrido showed up on the campus of the University of California at Berkeley with his two daughters and tried to get permission to hand out literature and speak, Kollar said. He did not know the subject of either the literature or the planned talk.

Police officers "thought the interaction between the older male and the two young females was rather suspicious," so they confronted them and performed a background check on him, Kollar said.

That check revealed that Garrido was on federal parole for a 1971 conviction for rape and kidnapping, for which he had served time in the federal penitentiary at Leavenworth, Kansas.

Garrido did just that, accompanied by his wife "and a female named Allissa," Kollar said.

The presence of Allissa and the two children surprised the parole officer, who had never seen them during visits to Garrido's house, Kollar said.

"Ultimately, Allissa was identified as Dugard," Kollar said.

Scott Kernan, undersecretary of the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation, told reporters that Garrido admitted to having abducted Dugard.

Dugard's presence behind Garrido's home since apparently went unnoticed in the neighborhood, where homes on one-fourth to one-half-acre lots typically sell for less than $200,000, said Kathy Russo, whose father has lived two houses away from the Garridos for 33 years. "My dad said he never saw a young woman," said Russo, who added that her 94-year-old father considered Garrido to be a "kind of strange, reclusive, kind of an angry kind of guy."

She said the one-story house's backyard was obscured by trees and ringed by a wooden fence.

In his jailhouse interview, Garrido told KCRA he could not go into detail about why he chose to abduct Dugard. "I haven't talked to a lawyer yet, so I can't do that," he said. Video Hear interview with Garrido »

But Garrido said he had "completely turned my life around" in the past several years. "You're going to find the most powerful story coming from the witness, from the victim," he promised. "If you take this a step at a time, you're going to fall over backward and in the end you're going to find the most powerful, heartwarming story."

He added, "Wait till you hear the story of what took place at this house. You're going to be absolutely impressed. It's a disgusting thing that took place with me in the beginning, but I turned my life completely around."

Describing his two daughters, he said, "Those two girls slept in my arms every single night from birth; I never kissed them."

In a later comment, he said that, from the time the youngest was born, "everything turned around."

The World To End in 2012?

Okay, so its getting closer to 2012 and the movie "2012 is coming out. Some people believe that the world will end but majority think its a bunch of bullshit. I think that it wont happen. I mean, just think..the world was suppose to end on 1-1-01 and 6-6-06 and did anything happen? No! We're still here! Only God can predict when the world will end...not man. The Mayan calender ends on December.12 or 21, 2012 but still that doesn't mean the whole world ends because some calender ends. What happens when our calender ends? A new one is created for the next year and we buy it. And also, there is nothing in the bible that says the world will be destroyed in December of 2012. No one really knows when God will come. He is unpredictable! He could come today, tomorrow, or next year. We as humans will never know! We can only predict. I think 2012 Doomsday is false...just like 1-1-01 and 6-6-06! But who knows...we will just have to see. I know one thing though..I aint wasting my money on that damn movie!

What Do I Think About MJ's Death

Someone is guilty of this murder and I think that Dr. Murray is the one. He was a professional doctor and he should have known which medicines to give to his patient. The first thing consisted in the Doctor's Oath is to make sure everything is safe.As a doctor, Dr.Murray knew better. I think he should be punished for what he did. I dont care if Michael did ask for it or even begged, Dr.Murray should have declined and told him how that wasnt safe. If Dr.Murray would have done what he was suppose to do, Michael Jackson would still be living this very moment. Another thing is that if Dr.Murray cared, he wouldnt have waited 82 minutes to call 911.He really should be ashamed of himself. From the day MJ died, I thought something was foul about Dr. Murray. He definitely should be charged and should never be able to practice medicine. Its sad that the "King of Pop" had die like he did but maybe it was his time to go. May he rest in peace! And may justice be served!

A report by the Los Angeles coroner reveals there were lethal levels of the powerful anesthetic propofol in Michael Jackson's blood, according to a search warrant affidavit unsealed Monday in Houston, Texas.

The coroner is calling the pop star's death a homicide, a law enforcement official said Monday, speaking on condition of anonymity.

The coroner's report has still not been officially released, but the coroner determined Jackson died of a fatal combination of drugs, including propofol, on June 25, according to the official. Two other sedatives were also found in his blood.

The fact that the coroner considers the death a homicide makes it more likely criminal charges will be filed.

The Los Angeles Times reported that Jackson's doctor, Conrad Murray, who has a practice in Houston, admitted giving Jackson 25 milligrams of propofol just before his death.

Propofol is a powerful anesthetic administered intravenously in operating rooms to induce unconsciousness, and it is unusual to see it administered in a private home.

The star had demanded the drug to induce sleep, Murray told police, according to the affidavit.

He also told police he feared Jackson was forming an addiction to the drug and had tried to wean him off it over a period of weeks by giving him a lower dose and using other drugs.

The doctor told police he gave Jackson Valium at 1:30 a.m. and injected lorazepam intravenously at 2 a.m. on the day he died. When Jackson was still awake at 3 a.m. on June 25, Murray administered midazolam.

Then at 10:40 a.m., Murray administered 25 milligrams of propofol after Jackson begged for the drug.

Murray told police he left Jackson alone so he could make telephone calls to his Houston office and family members. When he returned, he discovered Jackson was not breathing and performed CPR.

Jackson was pronounced dead in hospital shortly afterward.

Murray's lawyer, Edward Chernoff, said in a statement late Monday his client never told detectives he left Jackson and returned to find he had stopped breathing on June 25.

Police detectives saw about eight bottles of propofol in Jackson's home, but also other drugs for inducing sleep such as Valium, lorazepam, temazepam, clonazepam, trazodone and tizanidine.

Police said they could find no evidence that Murray had purchased, ordered or obtained the propofol, according to the search warrant affidavit.

In addition to Murray, the singer had prescriptions from doctors Arnold Klein and Allan Metzger and from physicians in Germany.

Sen. Ted Kennedy Dies


WASHINGTON – In the quiet of a Capitol elevator, one of Edward M. Kennedy's fellow lawmakers asked whether he had plans for a family Thanksgiving away from the nation's capital. No, the Massachusetts senator said with a shake of his head, and mentioned something about visiting his brothers' gravesites at Arlington National Cemetery.

In his half-century in the public glare, Kennedy was, above all, heir to a legacy — as well as a hero to liberals, a foil to conservatives, a legislator with few peers.

Alone of the Kennedy men of his generation, he lived to comb gray hair, as the Irish poet had it. It was a blessing and a curse, as he surely knew, and assured that his defeats and human foibles as well as many triumphs played out in public at greater length than his brothers ever experienced.

He was the only Kennedy brother to run for the White House and lose. His brother John was president when he was assassinated in 1963 a few days before Thanksgiving; Robert fell to a gunman in mid-campaign five years later. An older brother, Joseph Jr., was killed piloting a plane in World War II.

Runner-up in a two-man race for the Democratic nomination in 1980, this Kennedy closed out his failed candidacy with a speech that brought tears to the eyes of many in a packed Madison Square Garden.

"For me, a few hours ago, this campaign came to an end," he said. "For all those whose cares have been our concern, the work goes on, the cause endures, the hope still lives and the dream shall never die."

He was 48, older than any of his brothers at the time of their deaths. He lived nearly three more decades, before succumbing to a brain tumor late Tuesday at age 77.

That convention speech was a political summons, for sure. But to what?

Kennedy made plans to run for president again in 1984 before deciding against it. By 1988, his moment had passed and he knew it.

He turned his public energies toward his congressional career, now judged one of the most accomplished in the history of the Senate.

"I'm a Senate man and a leader of the institution," he said more than a year ago in an Associated Press interview. He left his imprint on every major piece of social legislation to pass Congress over a span of decades. Health care, immigration, civil rights, education and more. Republicans and Democrats alike lamented his absence as they struggled inconclusively in recent months with President Barack Obama's health care legislation.

He was in the front ranks of Democrats in 1987 who torpedoed one of President Ronald Reagan's Supreme Court nominees. "Robert Bork's America is a land in which women would be forced into back-alley abortions, blacks would sit at segregated lunch counters, rogue police could break down citizens' doors in midnight raids, children could not be taught about evolution," he said at the time.

It was a single sentence that catalogued many of the issues he — and Democrats — devoted their careers to over the second half of the 20th century.

A postscript: More than a decade later, President Clinton nominated a former Kennedy aide, Stephen Breyer, to the high court. He was confirmed easily.

There were humiliations along the way, drinking and womanizing, coupled with the triumphs that the Kennedy image-makers were always polishing. After the 1980 presidential campaign, Camelot took another hit when he divorced. He later remarried, happily.

In later years came grumbling from fellow Democrats that his political touch had failed him, and that he was too eager to strike a deal with President George W. Bush on education and Medicare.

"I believe a president can make a difference," he said over and over in that campaign of 1980, at a time the country was suffering from crushing combination of high interest rates, inflation and unemployment.

But it wasn't necessary to be a president to make a difference, or to try.

He once startled a Republican senator's aide, tracking her down by phone in Poland, part of an attempt to complete a bipartisan compromise.

For years, he left the Capitol once a week to read to a student at a nearby public school as part of a literacy program.

When a longtime Senate reporter fell terminally ill, Kennedy dispatched one of his watercolors to her room in a nursing home, and cheered her with chatty phone calls.

Kennedy took up painting in earnest after a plane crash that broke his back in the mid-1960s and led to a lengthy convalescence. Much of his work hangs in his Senate office, several seascapes or images of sailboats of the type he piloted in the waters off Cape Cod.

The walls of other rooms are filled with political and personal memorabilia, family photographs or letters or some combination of the two that hint at the passage of time and power.

In one room hangs a photo showing Kennedy and his siblings and parents in a family portrait taken in the 1930s, at a time their father, Joseph P. Kennedy, was U.S. ambassador to England.

In another hangs a plaque from the USS John F. Kennedy, the Navy vessel commissioned in 1968 and named for the slain president.

In another, the letter he wrote his mother, Rose, teasingly accusing her of having covered up a deficiency in math. No, she wrote back firmly in pencil, she always got an A.

Elsewhere, this:

"To Dad. Thank you for helping me get ahold of that first rung," wrote his son, Patrick, after winning a seat in the Rhode Island Legislature in 1990. The parent had dispatched aides to Providence to help assure victory for the child, now an eighth-term member of Congress.

There were other, far more public ways that Kennedy became the family standard bearer.

Robert Kennedy had spoken of the assassinated president at the 1964 Democratic National Convention. Four years later, he, too, was dead, and this time the last surviving brother delivered the eulogy.

"My brother need not be idealized or enlarged in death beyond what he was in life," his voice trembled at St. Patrick's Cathedral in New York. "He should be remembered simply as a good and decent man who saw wrong and tried to right it, saw suffering and tried to heal it, saw war and tried to stop it."

A generation later, John Kennedy Jr., who had been a toddler when his father was in the White House, died in a small plane crash off Martha's Vineyard. This eulogy invoked the words of William Butler Yeats, the poet: "We dared to think, in that other Irish phrase, that this John Kennedy would live to comb gray hair. But like his father, he had every gift but the gift of years."

"Thank you my friend for your many courtesies. If the world only knew," reads a letter hanging on one wall of the office. It came from Sen. Trent Lott of Mississippi, once the Senate's top Republican.

As the most prominent liberal of his day, Kennedy was long an easy and popular target for Republicans. The automobile accident that resulted in the death of a young Pennsylvania woman, Mary Jo Kopechne, drew snickers both before and after it shadowed his presidential campaign in 1980. Kennedy was driving the car in the accident at Chappaquiddick.

It is a cliche, yet true, that if his name was invaluable in Democratic fundraising, conservatives long ago discovered they could generate cash simply by telling donors they were doing battle with Kennedy.

Kennedy understood that, and knew how to turn it to his own advantage.

When a Moral Majority fundraising appeal somehow arrived at his office one day in the early 1980s, word leaked to the public, and the conservative group issued an invitation for him to come to Liberty Baptist College if he was ever in the neighborhood.

Pleased to accept, was the word from Kennedy.

"So I told Jerry (Falwell) and he almost turned white as a sheet," said Cal Thomas, then an aide to the conservative leader.

Dinner at the Falwell home was described as friendly.

Dessert was a political sermon on tolerance, delivered by the liberal from Massachusetts.

"I believe there surely is such a thing as truth, but who among us can claim a monopoly?" Kennedy said from the podium that night. "There are those who do, and their own words testify to their intolerance."

More than a quarter-century later, he was still eager to make a difference. At a critical point in the 2008 presidential race, he endorsed Barack Obama over Hillary Rodham Clinton for the Democratic nomination, then embarked on an ambitious schedule of campaign appearances.

He cast his endorsement in terms that linked Obama to the Kennedys.

"There was another time, when another young candidate was running for president and challenging America to cross a new frontier," he said.

"He faced criticism from the preceding Democratic president, who was widely respected in the party," Kennedy said.

"And John Kennedy replied: 'The world is changing. The old ways will not do. ... It is time for a new generation of leadership.'"

That endorsement came a few months before the seizure that signaled the presence of a deadly brain tumor. There were memorable public moments ahead, a surprise visit to the Senate to cast the decisive vote on a Medicare bill and, before that, a turn at the podium at the Democratic National Convention in Denver.

"As I look ahead, I am strengthened by family and friendship," he said there last summer. "So many of you have been with me in the happiest days and the hardest days. Together we have known success and seen setbacks, victory and defeat.

"But we have never lost our belief that we are all called to a better country and a newer world," he said. "And I pledge to you, I pledge to you that I will be there next January on the floor of the United States Senate when we begin the great test."

His time in the Senate was growing short, though. He smiled broadly as he took his seat outdoors at Obama's inauguration on Jan. 20, then suffered a seizure a few hours later at a luncheon inside the capitol.

"He was there when the Voting Rights Act passed" in the mid-1960s, the nation's first black president said moments later in his remarks. "And so I would be lying to you if I did not say that right now a part of me is with him. And I think that's true for all of us."

Generations of aides recall Kennedy telling them the biggest mistake of his career was turning down a deal that President Richard M. Nixon offered for universal health care. It seemed not generous enough at the time. Having missed the opportunity then, Kennedy spent the rest of his career hoping for an elusive second chance.

Now, some Democrats wonder privately if the party can learn from that lesson, and take what is achievable rather than risk everything by reaching for what it uncertain. Republicans and Democrats alike say Kennedy's absence has affected the debate on Obama's signature issue, with unknown consequences.

It was the issue that motivated him even after he was no longer able to travel to the Capitol to cast a vote. He called it "the cause of my life."

And in July, in a reflection on his own mortality, he worried that his precarious health might mean Massachusetts would have only one senator for a brief while, and Democrats would be handicapped as they tried to pass health care legislation.

After 47 years in the Senate — in a seat held by his brother before him — Kennedy urged a change in state law so the governor could appoint a temporary replacement "should a vacancy occur."

The services for Michael Jackson was by far the greatest memorial I've ever watched. I got emotional time it came on. When they brought the casket out, reality kicked in. He was gone. There would be no more Michael Jackson. Tears streamed down my eyes nonstop. I loved all the performances but the most touching one was the perfomance of "We Are The World" and "Heal the World". I think everyone that was watching or that was there shedded a tear or two when Paris talked about how her father was great. I just bursted out in tears. That was truly a sad moment. His kids are so strong still though. At least she had the strength to say that sentence. Overall, I think the service was amazing. All of the performances were amazing. Michael Jackson will forever live on in our hearts and today is the beginning of the healing process for many people. Rev. Al Sharpton really did speak the truth! What an amazing speech! I hope that the family stay strong and that his legacy stays alive and keeps on touching people. Michael will always be the "King Of Pop" and the Greatest That Ever Lived! May he rest in peace! We love you Michael!!!

Okay, so this evening I was watching VH1's special "Black To The Future". It was very interesting and it had Michael Jackson and how he and J5 changed the music world for the better. The show was remembering things from the 70s, 80s, 90s and 2000s. My aunt called and was like "Did yall hear the news?" and I'm like "What news?". And at that moment she said something that I definitely didn't think I would be hearing. She said "Michael Jackson is dead." I screamed and I was extremely shocked. I hung up the phone and yelled "MAMAAAAA!!!". My mama came rushing through our front door and I told her the news. She was really shocked. My mama was a HUGE fan back when he was transforming into "The King of Pop". I quickly changed it to CNN. Reality kicked in when I saw "Michael Jackson has died at the age of 50" strolling across the screen. His death was so unexpected. I'm still in total shock. I loved his music and I would have loved to actually meet him one day. He was a living legend. I feel so sorry for his kids that won't get to be with their dad through adulthood. I feel sorry for all the fans that expected to attend his comeback tour starting in London. I feel sorry for his family, they will never get to receive a call from him again. They'll never get to sit down and have a conversation with him ever again. When I heard the news...I shedded plenty of tears. It was a sad moment for us all. No one expected today to be Michael Jackson's last day. He had such a unique talent. There is no one else like Michael Jackson. No one can duplicate him. He won us over when he was just 5 years old and he continued to wow us over 40 years later. He had numerous hit singles such as "I'll Be There", "ABC", "Thriller", "Bad", and "Billie Jean". He was the best..period. No one else was better or was more famous than him. He's even in the Guiness Book of World Records for being the Most Successful Entertainer of all Time. His death will always be consider as one of the world's biggest tragedies. R.I.P. Michael Jackson...I love you and always will! You were such a great musician!

I Am Who I Am

For as long as I could remember, self esteem and self confidence has always been an issue for me. I've allowed people to bully me without taking any sort of action. I've knocked my ownself down numerous times. I have even said that I deserved to be bullied because I was indeed overweight. So all these years, I've held emotions in, I've held all my anger in; until now. One day I woke up and I said I'm tired. I'm tired of it all. So I decided I wanted to be homeschooled. So to those of you wondering why I'm homeschooled thats the reason...bullying. I've been doing alot of thinking. I'm addressing this blog to the people who have EVER talked about me or bullied me...I'm done! I'm done with caring about what others say or think. As I'm getting older and maturing, I'm realizing that people are different when it comes to shapes and sizes and I'm also realizing that some people are just plain cruel. Being cruel gets you nowhere. Bullying is the best way a cruel person can retaliate against someone. The only reason you bully someone is because you have some insecurities and issues yourself. I have came to realize that I am who I am. I'm gonna love myself regardless of how anyone else feels. I'm gonna change my issue of being obese because I want to be healthy. I'm gonna do it for me, and not for anyone else. And another thing, don't go speculating. Just because I'm big doesn't mean that the only thing I do all day is sit around and eat greasy foods and sip on soda while snacking on king size candy bars or a family size bag of chips. I've had so many issues throughout my life that none of you know about. I've had deep issues in my life that has made me feel so low that I wanted to end it all with one slash to the throat.

Today I am realizing that I am beautiful inside and out. I know I have flaws, but who doesn't? The only person that can judge me is GOD. His judgement is the only one that counts. I'm gonna start believing in myself. I'm gonna love myself regardless of what others think. I'm gonna make a change for myself. I'm gonna start enjoying my life. I'm a very intelligient individual. I'm gonna use my intelligience to succeed. Confidence is real sexy! And when I've completed my goals. I'm gonna stand high and mighty and stand right in front of those of you that said I would always look that way and enjoy your expression when I say, "I told you so!"

He's Gone

Here I am, asking God why? Why did he have to take both of my maternal grandparents. First my grandma, now my grandpa. My grandfather's health took a total u-turn for the worse. One day he was fine and then the next, he was bad. Deaths are something that people are terribly afraid of but I realize the reasons. I understand why my grandfather passed..he was too sick. He couldn't hold on anymore. He needed to be set free from all his pain and sorrow. And that's the same for my grandma too. I have to be strong for my family. I wish me and my grandpa would have had the normal type of relationship. He was in the nursing home since 1996. I was only 2 yrs old. He couldn't talk or walk. I wish he would not have been in the type of health he was in. We had some good memories though. My grandfather was a happy man, and very strong. But in the end..for the first time, I saw my grandfather as this weak and helpless man. It broke my heart to see him like that but I have to come to terms that I have to be strong and understand that God makes no mistakes. He takes people at the right time. My grandpa is finally home and he's not suffering anymore. So R.I.P. Grandpa and one day I hope to join you and grandma!

My Trip To Biloxi, MS

Biloxi, Mississippi was very pretty. I loved the ocean. One thing about is that Hurricane Katrina took so many good things away. There are still so many empty spaces. My favorite place in Biloxi was Beau Rivage which was a Hotel/Casino. It was beautiful. It had an arcade, a couple of restaurants, shopping boutiques, a huge hotel and a casino. I would love to go back to Beau Rivage and stay there. The worse thing about the whole trip was that it took over 6 hours to get there. I hate sitting down for a long period of time. I'm always up and about so riding that long was very irritating. And then another thing was that it was hot as hell because we were at the coast of Mississippi. The beach was beautiful too. I went to the beach at night by myself just to clear my mind. Our hotel was beautiful. We stayed at Motel 6. All the rooms were inside the building and we had a flat screen tv and everything.They had a pool too. The employees at Motel 6 were very nice and they made sure we were satisfied. The night before we left, we ate at Cajun's which is a restaurant with a buffet and they sell Cajun flavored chicken and fish. It was all so delicious! Before we left out, we ate lunch at their park and relaxed. Overall my trip was good, I would definitely go visit again!

5 Things I Hate About Myspacers

Okay, so there are some things that I'm so sick of on MySpace. These things are utterly irritating. I'm not tryna offend anyone but some of you take this MySpace stuff too far! Here are the things I'm so sick of...

1. To start MySpace is a social networking site! Some of you dont understand what a social networking site is. A social networking site is a site where you communicate with new people! Whats the point in adding a person if you arent gonna talk to them?? I'm sick of people accepting my friend request or adding me and I try to talk to them and they ignore me. If you have no intention of talking and getting to know the person or just networking, dont accept the fucking friend request!

2. I hate profiles I go on that have their about me as the following:
Mi nAm3 iS bRi, iR3p 94. mI sWaG sO cRuCial...and such and such
I think that this is so stupid! I mean why not spell words the way they need to be spelled and only use capital letters when they are needed. I don't get why people do their page like this. Whats the point? And 3 is a number not a substitute for the letter "e". And @ means "at" not "a". Practice good grammar!

3. Usernames such as: Mr.Polo, Mr.Swaggarific, Mrs.Top Notch,etc.. these names used to be interesting but now so many people are using them they have became old.

4. Girls putting on their page a pic of their friend and the friend is labeled as their "wifey". Why do this? I haven't quite figured that out yet.


Oh wow and last but not least, the most irritating thing that I see on MySpace is.....

5. Crooked Face Pictures or Twisted Mouth Pictures looks retarded. Posing for a pic with your mouth twisted is not cute...at all. It looks like you just had a stroke! Please stop!!!


I understand that this blog could cause controversy but I truly didn't mean to offend anyone. I have the right to place my opinion on something. Feel free to give me your opinion on this topic. Also, if you have anything cruel towards me to say, I'd rather you delete me than to deal with drama. I simply dont have time to be childish with you and go back and forth over this and that. And again, I didnt mean to offend anyone! If you take this as being offensive....well then thats a personal problem!
