4 Years After Katrina

Now
Then

On this day 4 years ago, Hurricane Katrina made her way to New Orleans, LA. By the time it hit New Orleans, it was a Category5 hurricane. A category 5 hurricane is the highest and most dangerous hurricane possible. The storm made the levees that kept the water secure broke and 80% of the city was flooded. Many people climbed to the top of their roof for safety while some went to shelters in time. The devastation to the Gulf Coast by these two hurricanes has been called the greatest disaster in our nation's history.
