He's Gone

Here I am, asking God why? Why did he have to take both of my maternal grandparents. First my grandma, now my grandpa. My grandfather's health took a total u-turn for the worse. One day he was fine and then the next, he was bad. Deaths are something that people are terribly afraid of but I realize the reasons. I understand why my grandfather passed..he was too sick. He couldn't hold on anymore. He needed to be set free from all his pain and sorrow. And that's the same for my grandma too. I have to be strong for my family. I wish me and my grandpa would have had the normal type of relationship. He was in the nursing home since 1996. I was only 2 yrs old. He couldn't talk or walk. I wish he would not have been in the type of health he was in. We had some good memories though. My grandfather was a happy man, and very strong. But in the end..for the first time, I saw my grandfather as this weak and helpless man. It broke my heart to see him like that but I have to come to terms that I have to be strong and understand that God makes no mistakes. He takes people at the right time. My grandpa is finally home and he's not suffering anymore. So R.I.P. Grandpa and one day I hope to join you and grandma!
